What we collect when you call
When you phone us we note what you tell us so we can do the job: your name, the phone number you called from, the service address, a description of the door and the problem, and the details of the visit, the price and the work completed. Calls to our line may be logged and, where applicable and permitted by law, recorded for quality, training and to resolve any disagreement about what was agreed.
What happens when you browse this site
Like any website, our hosting server keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) for security and to keep the site running. The site does not set its own tracking cookies and has no advertising tags.
Two third-party services load as you use the pages. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers. The service-area map stays blank until you choose View map; only then does it load from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use what you share to schedule and carry out the work, to call you back about your request, to honor any warranty on parts and labor, to keep the business records the law requires, and to protect our customers and staff against fraud. We share information only as needed to do the job: with suppliers when a door or part is ordered for your address, with the companies that provide our phone, hosting and payment services, and where the law requires it.
On the occasions when every one of our technicians is already committed, or an after-hours emergency is somewhere we cannot reach quickly, your call may be forwarded to another local garage door company so you are not left waiting. In that case the company that takes the call hears what you tell it and handles that information under its own practices.
How long we keep it
Job records are kept for as long as they are useful for warranty, tax and accounting purposes, then deleted or anonymized. Server logs roll over on a short cycle.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser at any time, which affects only the optional map.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
